Hello, it’s nice to meet you!

I know what it’s like to have food and body challenges, having spent many frustrating years chasing weight loss. It was a never-ending quest to find the missing link and be done with it, but “done with it” never came. Through my own struggle of striving to begood enough,” I discovered the motive behind my pursuit of the illusive ideal body. By combining therapy with a way of eating that appeals to me, maintaining my desired weight is no longer difficult. And the same can be true for you! I can help with that.

I understand the impact that dissatisfaction with your body can have on your life—spilling into your mood, your self-esteem, your relationships, and productivity. Working through this can change things for you…from ridding yourself of the endless mind chatter to losing weight for good, by solving what’s causing it.

I specialize in helping men and women work through their unique weight loss barriers. My therapeutic style is encouraging, collaborative, educational, non-judgmental, and action-oriented. My goal is to provide you with a new lens to view your weight challenges and support you in overcoming them.

I hold a M.S. in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC), EMDR trained, and a certified coach from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
